1889 Artisan Cotton Paper with Natural Deckled Edges

We looked out over a field of bluestem and goldenrod. There sat the ruins of the mill, and amidst the pile of rubble, we uncovered an old wooden box. Inside were photos, letters, and objects left behind from an age long gone. Those items and the secrets they held inspired us to create this collection.

This collection is inspired by and dedicated to Nebraska’s first paper mill and the town of Kearney, Nebraska.

Please be aware, although we have spent years developing color formulas for all of our papers, papers are made and dyed by hand and shades may vary. While we try our very best getting colors exact every time, we can not guarantee that papers will be exactly the same color from batch to batch. You may receive colors with slight variation of darker or lighter.

Every single sheet in this collection is mixed, formed, and dyed completely by hand in our Nebraska studio. Because we honor traditional artisan methods over chemical stabilizers, subtle variations in shade and lighter or darker tones may occur between batches. These natural nuances are not flaws; they are the mark of authentic, living paper that commands attention the moment it is held.
